In order to get your ex back successfully, you must be willing to go through this painful process because in the end, it’s going to do you more good than anything else. Your entire life and way of thinking and living may change as a result. First, you have to be talking to your ex or you’ll never have a chance to determine what went wrong (maybe not talking was the problem to start with). Secondly, figure out what you think the reasons for the breakup were. Be honest. If there were problems that you ignored because you really didn’t care if they were repaired or not, then you’re probably not going to reconcile — at least long term. Admit your mistakes. It’s the adult thing to do and a smart move.
