Some people love skiing, some people love the sunshine. Well I’m one of those and I’ve already been checking out Grenada hotels for my stay this winter. I’ve found a very nice looking one that is to the north of Grenada.

It’s got just 9 cottages with 2 honeymoon suites, and appears to be catering more to the adult crowd than families. This suits me down to the ground. If there is anything that I don’t enjoy, it’s other people’s kids, especially when I’m trying to relax and they are splashing me with water from the pool.

So this hotel has a restaurant and a bar too. It’s run by an English couple and has very good reviews in TripAdvisor. They even do a day trip out to a local tropical island. I’ll be signing up to this for sure. I love a bit of adventure. I’ll send you a postcard!

It is amazing to see how what seemed to be a small archaeological site in Palenque was actually one of the most influential cultures in Latin America. The Mayas were the last civilization to live in Palenque and archaeologists from all over the world are still trying to figure out what made them escape from the site. Over the years, more and more parts of the site have been restored because when the Mayas left, it was absorbed by jungle made up mainly of sapodilla trees, mahogany and cedar. Even when it has been really difficult to restore the buildings, it is still possible to admire the great artworks of the Mayas, who seemed to been very good at carving stone. The Mayas were the first to introduce and develop a written language, which other cultures copied afterwards. But its influence did not only reach the language, it also had an impact on architecture and art.

Review of Sticky Vicky Benidorm

I’ve just returned from our annual two-week holiday Spanish seaside resort of Benidorm and I want to recommend magic show the entertainment show known as Sticky Vicky. This was an absolutely amazing show and evening that even my wife enjoyed too despite being a bit risque.

Bars and clubs in which you will be able to see Sticky Vicky performing include Chaplins, Jokers and the Tropical Bar. I believe she performs nightly at one of these venues so check local notices depending on which night you want to go.

The actual show is completely free of charge as she is paid by the various bars because it attracts people into the venues.

In fact you actually find most entertainment in Benidorm is free unless you are going somewhere upmarket and expensive such as the Benidorm Palace where you get a three course meal while watching a show and extravaganza with hundreds of dancers.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday as usual with excellent weather, the beaches are of tremendous quality and cleaned nightly and our children also had a fantastic time playing in the hotel pool.

My girlfriend and I are seeking out cottages in Cornwall to get away for a week or so. Our family has been a little crazy with wedding plans for my sister, and since we’re not too heavily involved, we want to escape from the clutches of these planning sessions. We had a vacation planned for this coming week in a tentative sort of way, and especially with work winding down after a really heavy season, I think it’s time to jump on this opportunity. While the wedding will be beautiful, we both know that it will be more stress than anyone should have to handle. We’ll be back for it, but just in time. The cottage we’re looking at has a beautiful view of the sea, and that’s all we really want. That sea is gorgeous and calming, and I miss it from the days of my youth. Just to see it again will bring solace to my eyes and heart.

There are a lot of different hotels in Scottsdale, but when I was headed there last month I was on a mission to find the best possible hotel for my budget.
