Emergency Scanner Frequencies Guide

The emergency frequencies are comprised of fire, police and medical facilities. The frequencies for fire departments are 470.000 MHz to 512.000 MHz and also 866.000 to 869.000 MHz. These are in the UHF range. The local and regional dispatches are included here. The fire frequency range was not picked arbitrarily. They were chosen so conflicts with other frequencies are avoided.

The police safety transmission frequency range is from 470.000 MHz to 512.000 MHz. The setting has to be at the ultra high UHF level so they remain clear of interruptions. The hospital / emergency / medical frequencies are 150.00 MHz to 174.00 MHz. There are secondary emergency frequencies for ground work and helicopter pads. The frequencies are for the US.

Those in other countries may be different. Regardless of country, spacing is absolutely crucial. The 34.90 numbers / frequency is reserved for the National Guard and used in emergency situations. For the US Red Cross it is 47.42.

My uncle is not exactly tech-savvy, so I knew I would be the only person he could rely on to help him. The recordings were very clear and smooth.

It is amazing how the Dyson fan works. I recently inquired into it because I wanted something modern for my home that will increase the airflow. I think that it is the best thing that I can have for my house right now. It feels pretty stuffy in here for whatever reason, and I suppose that I just want to help air it out for a bit. I know I probably will not feel the same way once the winter rolls around. I love the sleekness of the fan. It allows me to come inspired and decorate my house the way that I want it to look. I think that this is probably the best thing that I can do for myself. I know that some people truly enjoy the Dyson brand and are devotees, and now I can see why. Their products are well-made, and they look quite amazing!

After listening to all the rumours I wonder if we will actually have a new Kindle in time for Christmas. If there is any possibility of a new Kindle arriving anytime soon I would imagine that Amazon will do their utmost to get it out in time for the holiday rush. After all no big company are going to miss out on this mass market if they have any chance of grabbing a share of it. I have to say that I would be more than happy to see the arrival of a color Kindle or even a touch Kindle, both of these would be more than welcome under my Christmas tree. Although saying that it would be great to see Amazon challenge the crown of Apple and give us an affordable tablet. At least that would make sense of their opening an appstore and their venture in to video streaming and cloud to cloud technology.

I have been wanting to get an IPhone for awhile now, but since the budget was really tight, I could not afford it. It was not my birthday or a special occassion. He decided to get it for me because he knew that it’s something I have been wanting to get for awhile. I thought that was really sweet of him. This is not the first time that he’s done something so sweet for me. I’m going to start checking out the iphone app reviews, so I can purchase some nice applications for my iPhone. Barnes and Noble’s Nook Simple Touch is an excellent e-reader and considered even better than kindle 3 by some customers. The key difference between the two devices is the touch screen of Nook touch. Since there is no keyboard Nook Touch is smaller in overall size while maintaining the same Display size. The touch screen is very responsive with better page refresh rate than kindle.

Nook’s battery life last up to 2 months like kindle with the wireless off. However, this is based upon half an hour of daily reading time for both the devices. With this said, many people still prefer kindle over Nook. The new Nook touch is only available in Wi-Fi connectivity where as kindle has the option of 3G.

While deciding between Kindle 3G Vs WiFi, most the kindle customers opted for 3G connectivity because of the better network coverage and the ability to access internet on the go. The absence of 3G option is clearly a drawback of Nook touch, especially for international customers.

The first thing I did when I got my iPad was to protect it with an iPad covers. The next thing was to look for some games to play my new toy.

I had a few criteria which you might agree with or not, but here’s what I came up with:

  • Fun Factor
  • Game play fit with iPad form factor
  • Cost vs what I got
  • Looking good

That’s my short list of criteria and here are the top three games that fit for me.

  1. Angry Birds – What can I say? This one is great and it works perfectly on my iPad. Get it now. At $2.99 it’s a bargain.
  2. Death Rally – At 99 cents, this is another great deal. A racing game with lots of levels and cars to play with. It took a while to master, but it’s one of my favorites now.
  3. FIFA 11 D. This is a soccer game right on your iPad. It’s a bit pricey at around $10. But this sports game just rocks. Great for waiting for your kids soccer game to get started.
  4. Homerun Battle 3D – This is for the baseball fan. The game has been around for a while now, but the bigger screen on the iPad really makes this work.
  5. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 – Golf on your IPad. Isn’t that just the perfect way to wrap it up.

There are many rumors about just what the new Amazon tablet price is going to be. It really does seem that it is going to be a lot lower than what will be its main competitor, the iPad 2. We will certainly find that it is going to be more than affordable and although obviously nowhere near the price of the Kindle it is still going to be very cheap as far as tablet prices are concerned.

A part of this may well be to do with the fact that Amazon will take a loss on the units to get money from apps and video streaming services. There is also the option for an ad based tablet just like they have done for the Kindle 3.

And with 2 sizes also probably becoming available the smaller version is sure to be very popular as it will be so cheap to buy for the average consumer.
