My son has been taking martial arts classes for about a year now. I was not too pleased at first when he told me he would like to take them. I used to watch the Karate Kid all the time when I was younger, and I was imagining that the students were the same as the ones in the karate class that was shown in the film. I didn’t want him to think that he was better than anyone else or use his skills to hurt others. I knew that he was a good boy, but I also understood how peer pressure works. I was completely wrong though. His instructor always invites parents to stay and watch if they want, and I have done that a few times. I really like his teaching methods so my son has my full blessings now. I even shop at the online martial arts store to surprise him now and again.

The PvZ matchup is actually really easy to play if you understand it correctly.

The game flow of the PvZ matchup usually flows along these lines, with the protoss being the aggressor in this matchup:

  1. Expand and build up a high sentry count.
  2. Scout with hallucinations/obs to gain information on what to do.
  3. Execute a timing attack and sometimes the game is decided right there based on this judgement in (2). If you scout the zerg still on 2 base you should not attack/expand but rather find out exactly what hes doing and prepare for muta / mutli-prong drop play or fast burrowed roaches.
  4. If you decided not to attack now because you’re unsure or won’t win, you have to take a third very quickly to keep up with the zerg macro.
  5. Continue scouting to gain information on what to do.
  6. Prepare for a second timing attack with a better army composition based on your scouting and if you choose not to, tech up and prepare for late game.

The following theories come only from pure experience and consistence. I’ve been an athlete for my whole life and I especially love to jump high, what a weird thing to love. I’ve been training my vertical jump since I was 15. I started more serious and smarter training after I finished college, I’ve even tried the jump manual, which, believe it or not, gave me pretty good results. So, what I want to talk about is on and off training. Basically, you train vertical jump for 5 months and then take one month off. I’ve found that this works wonders for me. Because the thing is that when training your muscle contraction speed, it’s not like training your maximum strength. Although the contraction speed limit is pretty much dependent on the maximum strength of the specific muscle. But anyway, I really recommend you take 1 month pause and then start training again. Also, a pause doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t train at all. I still did some less difficult exercises in form of 5 x 1(one set of five reps) just to keep my muscles alive. This really works, I promise.
