I have found that there is a whole bunch of stuff in my home that is useless. I would like to get rid of these items but have found that a second hand store only gives pittances for old or used items. I decided that I would organise a garage sale instead. I wrote and advertisement to the local newspaper with the heading: Useless Items For Sale, with my address, contact number and date of the sale. Then I went into my home and started sorting all of the useless items from the usable items. It is amazing how many useless items are stored away in some or other cupboard, nook or cranny. I have found some strange things that I did not even know I had such as a beautiful set of mens cufflinks. I have no idea where they came from, but they are useless to me and so they will be sold off to the highest bidder on my garage sale.

Sometimes when you are young it seems like you are invincible. When I turned eighteen years old I thought that I did not need anyone. I had a car and I was of age to do whatever I wanted. My girlfriend and I were kind of rebellious so as soon as it was my eighteenth birthday her and I went to get navel rings and tattoos. We thought we were so cool. On our way to school one morning we were laughing and not paying attention and we got into a serious car accident. We were both rushed to the hospital and I saw my life pass before my eyes. My friend and I both came out fine and no one else was hurt. From that day on I realized that life was a gift and that I needed to treat it as such.
